accident. katie nelson have the latest on scene.>> reporter: we are at the intersection of international boulevard and high street in oakland. if you look behind me you can see the damage vehicles have been loaded up onto the back of a flatbed tow truck including an oakland police suv. this all happened about 345 this morning and at oakland police vehicle collided with a white ford mustang on high street. the officers in suv were headed to the area code 3, meaning they had lights on and sirens wailing.>> they were respon a s the vehicle suspected to be involved in a shooting.>> reporter: the police sergeant pulled over a car identified as being involved in a shooting incident by shotspotter. the occupants of that car were arrested, the 2 officers that were in the police suv as well

as the person in the white ford mustang all went to the hospital listed in stable condition. police plan to reopen the intersection as soon as they are able to complete the investigation vehicles towed away. we will continue to bring the latest. from oakland and katie nielsen for kpix5. protest during the national anthem overshadowed the games in the nfl this weekend.>> this conversation is exploding again and it's not going anywhere. it is now involving nascar. we will get to that in a minute. the president suggested nfl players be fired for refusing to stand during the national anthem, he tweeted about it saying many people booed at the players who no which was a small percentage. these are fans who demand respect for our flag. the protests were nationwide in the nfl, every single game made

a statement during the national anthem. 200 players totaled, they that's got kneeled or locked arms. the president made his 1st comments on friday and continued over the weekend. president trump urging nfl owners to fire these sons of [ bleep ] who refuse to stand. >> we don't try to disrespect anyone we just want to show a message of togetherness.>> taking a knee during the national anthem was a movement you probably remember that started last year by former san francisco 49ers order back colin kaepernick. he didn't to draw attention to police brutality. other pro sports leagues are weighing into this including one getting praise from the president, nascar. he tweeted he is so proud of nascar and their fans, they don't put up with disrespecting our flag or our country. they said it loud and clear.

relations, the largest muslim advocacy organization tweeted in part, trump's new band is part of an ugly white supremacists agenda. the new travel ban goes into effect october 18. more confusion officials stressed that valid visas will not be revoked and case-by-case waivers will be permitted. san francisco is helping young adults who call themselves dreamers. a new proposal for undocumented immigrants is expected to be introduced by republicans in congress. neto hall joins us from city hall.>> reporter: the city of san francisco and the mayor's office have offered to help pay for the costs when it comes to renewing immigration status. there is a fee, $500, the mayor's office also offering to help with legal assistant in the filing of the paperwork. there are some 2000 so-called

dreamers who have a very urgent deadline they have to meet when it comes to renewing immigration status. their deadline is october 5. in all, 2.5 million dreamers make it a pathway to citizenship if the conservative dream act passes. it will be introduced by senator thom tillis known as the rac act which means recognizing american children. they could remain in the country based on experience, military service, and if they came to the country before the age of 60. house minority leader nancy pelosi said it was the press the dream act which would give residents under 18 to get status and the president agreed. >> it is the bill that we all support. what was to be determined was is and what there would be in terms of border security but the essence of the built was what the president committed

sergeant who had pulled over a car suspected of being involved in a shooting. based on information from shotspotter, the occupants of the car were arrested. police are trying to piece together how all of this evidence.>> we investigate what occurred. we document the scene and take photos. the traffic investigation division will follow-up with the accident.>> reporter: 2 officers were in suv as well as the driver of the ford mustang, all were taken to the hospital with in stable condition. the intersection just opened moments ago. police will continue their investigation to figure out how this happened. from oakland i'm katie nielsen for kpix5. a community group is holding a meeting for increased transparency and oversight for the san jose police department. more specifically the group was an investigation into all

incidents of serious use of force. and internal complaints filed within the police department. they want access to all use of force data, the meeting starts at 7 p.m. at the bible way christian center. in ashville a 25-year-old man is behind bars on homicide charges after a church shooting left one woman dead and several injured. police say emmanuel samson shot a 39-year-old woman beating the church before he allegedly walked into the building and kept firing at people in the pews. authorities are trying to figure out a motive for the shooting. samson is due in court on wednesday and he is being held without bond. former new york congressman anthony weiner said to be sentenced today for lewd sexual conduct. the admitted to sending graphic photos and having obscene video chat with a 15-year-old girl. prosecutors wanted to set that spend more than 2 years in prison.'s attorney say he is a sick man who may progress of counseling and request probation. san francisco is being
